Privacy Policy
Effective September 16, 2026 · Last updated September 16, 2026
1. Who we are
DG Contracts is a construction project and document management service operated by DG Builders, Inc. This policy explains how we handle information when owners, employees, subcontractors, clients, and invited users access DG Contracts.
2. Notice at collection
At or before collection, DG Contracts collects the categories below for the stated business purposes. We do not collect a category merely because it appears on this list; collection depends on the features the user chooses.
- Identifiers and account information: name, business contact details, account identifiers, company, role, and login or security records—to create accounts, authenticate users, deliver the service, prevent misuse, and provide support.
- Commercial and project records: projects, contracts, estimates, invoices, bills, payments, schedules, clients, vendors, and transaction history—to perform requested construction-management and accounting workflows.
- Contractor Community information: forum posts, replies, professional name, company name, general service area, reports, and moderation records shared with other active contractor accounts.
- Internet and device activity: login and logout time, last activity, device category, browser, diagnostics, audit records, and security events—to operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the service. The owner dashboard does not display full IP addresses.
- Audio, visual, and document information: photos, videos, voice input, signatures, plans, measurements, and uploaded files—only when a user selects or records them for a requested feature.
- Professional and compliance information: contractor license, insurance, Workers' Compensation, W-9 classification, and related records—to organize the company's compliance workflow. Users should redact Social Security numbers and unnecessary tax identifiers before upload.
- Financial integration information: accounting records, balances, provider identifiers, and payment status—to perform connections authorized by the company. Full card numbers, bank-login credentials, and authentication passwords are entered with the applicable provider and are not stored by DG Contracts.
Information is retained only for the periods described below. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Questions or requests may be sent to officedgbuilder@gmail.com.
3. Information we collect
- Account, company, authorized-user, and contact information.
- Project, client, subcontractor, vendor, schedule, inspection, and job-cost information.
- Contracts, estimates, change orders, invoices, bills, payments, tax-support records, signatures, photographs, measurements, and uploaded files.
- QuickBooks Online data that an authorized user elects to connect, including customers, projects, vendors, accounts, Products and Services, invoices, bills, payments, and balances.
- Bank-account balance information when an authorized user separately connects a supported bank-data provider. Bank credentials are entered with that provider and are not stored by DG Contracts.
- Device, browser, security, diagnostic, audit, and usage information needed to operate and protect the service.
- Camera, photo-library, and device-contact information only when the user grants permission and chooses to use the related feature.
4. Sources and how we use information
Information comes from account holders and invited users; clients, subcontractors, and recipients who submit a form or signature; devices and browsers used to access the service; connected providers chosen by an authorized user; and public licensing or inspection sources when a user requests a lookup.
We use information to provide, secure, maintain, and improve DG Contracts; prepare and store project records; support signatures and communications; synchronize authorized accounting records; prevent duplicate or unauthorized transactions; provide customer support; and comply with legal obligations.
AI features may send the user's selected prompt and necessary project context to a contracted AI service provider to generate the requested result. Users must review AI output and should not submit passwords, full payment-card data, bank-login credentials, Social Security numbers, or information unnecessary for the requested task.
QuickBooks data is used only to provide and support the accounting integration selected by the authorized company. We do not sell QuickBooks data or use it for advertising.
5. How information is disclosed
For project information submitted by a company about its employees, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and recipients, the company generally determines why the information is processed and is responsible for providing any required notices and obtaining any required authority or consent. DG Contracts processes that information to provide the service and follow the company's authorized instructions, subject to our independent security, legal, and operational obligations.
We disclose information only as reasonably necessary:
- To the company account owner and authorized team members according to their permissions.
- To clients, subcontractors, and other recipients when an authorized user shares a project, document, signature request, or communication with them.
- To service providers that host, secure, store, deliver, or support the service under contractual restrictions.
- To connected services such as Intuit QuickBooks Online, electronic-signature, email, messaging, bank-data, or payment providers when an authorized user requests the connection or transaction.
- When required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business reorganization subject to appropriate protections.
Service providers may process only the information reasonably necessary for hosting, authentication, storage, security, communications, AI processing requested by the user, support, analytics limited to service operation, and authorized integrations. We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. QuickBooks and financial-provider control
QuickBooks access uses Intuit's authorization process. DG Contracts does not receive the user's QuickBooks password. Access tokens are encrypted, access is limited to the permissions approved by the user, and the connection may be disconnected from DG Contracts or Intuit. Disconnecting does not automatically delete records already created in QuickBooks or records DG Contracts must retain for legitimate business, security, or legal purposes.
7. Retention and security
Account and company records are retained while the account is active and during the deletion process. Project, contract, signature, accounting, payment, and audit records are retained as directed by the company and as reasonably necessary for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, and dispute purposes. Support records and security logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for those functions. Backups are removed on their normal rotation after deletion. Where no legal or operational need remains, information is deleted or deidentified.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encrypted connections, encrypted integration credentials, audit records, and separation of company data. No system can guarantee absolute security.
If a security incident triggers a legal notification duty, DG Contracts will provide required notice without unreasonable delay and will notify regulators when required.
8. Choices and California privacy rights
Users may review or update account and company information, choose whether to grant device permissions, and disconnect supported integrations. Subject to applicable law, California residents may request the categories and specific pieces of information collected, sources, purposes, and disclosures; request correction or deletion; opt out of sale or sharing; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and receive equal service without unlawful discrimination. DG Contracts does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so no sale/sharing opt-out is presently required. If those practices change, the required controls will be provided before the change.
Every account holder may initiate deletion directly in DG Contracts under Settings → Delete account. A pending request may be canceled before processing. We complete deletion within seven days and send confirmation to the account email. The account and associated personal data are removed unless a record must be retained for a legal, accounting, tax, safety, fraud-prevention, contractual, or dispute-resolution obligation; retained records are restricted to those purposes.
For access, correction, deletion, portability, or other privacy requests, use the in-app account controls or email officedgbuilder@gmail.com. An authorized agent may submit a request when legally permitted, but we may verify the agent's authority and the consumer's identity. We respond within the time required by applicable law and explain any applicable exception.
9. Children and international use
DG Contracts is a business service and is not directed to children under 18. The service is operated from the United States. Users accessing it elsewhere understand that information may be processed in the United States.
10. Changes and contact
SMS privacy: We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Mobile information may be disclosed only to service providers that help deliver requested messages, subject to appropriate restrictions.
We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. The updated date above will identify the current version. Material changes will be communicated when required.
